Shared bands need a place where conflicts show up early
The project started under the Dactyl Group brand, which is now part of Techmates. The Czech Telecommunication Office regulates telecommunication infrastructure and the operation of license-exempt bands. Stations in the 5.2, 5.8 and 60 GHz bands share a space where operators can interfere with each other’s signal. The Office needed a place where stations are registered and where possible conflicts show up before they happen.
Operators had to settle conflicts without knowing each other
The Office asked for a specialized portal for registering stations in the 5.2, 5.8 and 60 GHz bands. It had to handle high load and let operators resolve conflicts among themselves without identifying each other.
The portal evaluates conflicts and passes messages anonymously
The RLAN portal evaluates possible conflicts between registered stations automatically and lets operators contact each other without revealing who they are. It is designed for load on the order of tens of thousands of registrations.
