An old CRM and an order process it did not cover
An engineering manufacturer worked with an old CRM and needed a system that covers the whole order process and opens up to its business partners as well.
Techmates took over development and leads it hands-on, not as an outside advisor. We are building the new CRM from scratch, but not on a green field: initially it runs on the data and database of the old system, which we retire step by step.
We rebuild the CRM on the old system’s data
- A completely new CRM built on the old system’s data
- New functionality covering the whole order process
- A multi-tenant architecture: the manufacturer’s business partners can use the same system for their own production, to win orders and track their progress
- A system that is therefore no longer just a CRM, but an order system and partly a production system
What we are working on now
We are building AI agents that price technical drawings automatically. It is the first piece of work in the system that agents take over.
What we are preparing
Next, the AI agents are to take over:
- Operating the system
- Many manual tasks
- Sending notifications
The goal is fully automated production of engineering products.
Where things stand and what comes next
We continue to lead development as interim CTO. The new CRM is gradually taking over the old system’s work, we are extending it with the order process and preparing multi-tenancy for partners. In parallel, we are building the first AI agents, which price technical drawings automatically. Operating the system, manual tasks and notifications come after that.
Technically, it is a custom CRM with a multi-tenant architecture, complemented by AI agents.
