This policy describes what data techmates.io collects about you, why we process it, who we pass it to, and what rights you have.
What data we collect
You can read the whole website without telling us anything. We only collect data when you fill in a form or write to us, plus the technical data your browser and our server exchange every time a page loads.
Forms on this website
The website has three forms: a request for a free consultation, a newsletter sign-up and an e-book download.
Depending on the form, we ask for your name, work e-mail, company and a message. We use this to answer you, to send the material you asked for, or to send you the newsletter if you asked for it.
For enquiries and e-book downloads our grounds are pre-contractual dealings and our legitimate interest in replying to someone who contacted us. For the newsletter the ground is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the link in every e-mail or by writing to info@techmates.io.
Technical data and traffic measurement
When a page loads we process your IP address, browser and device type, where you came from and which pages you viewed. Without this the website could not run or defend itself against attacks.
We measure traffic with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Measurement only starts once you consent in the cookie bar. If you do not consent, nothing is measured and the website works as usual.
Job applicants
When you apply for a position, you send us your CV and the details in your e-mail. We use them to assess your application and to talk to you. Keeping you on file for future openings needs your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser.
Necessary cookies keep the site running and remember your choice in the cookie bar, so they are always stored. Analytics cookies are stored only with your consent.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. The consent covers the techmates.io domain.
Who we pass data to
We do not pass data to anyone who does not work for us, and we do not sell it. We do rely on tools to run the website and our communication, and those tools handle the data as processors.
The tools we use
Ecomail for e-mail communication and the contact database from the forms.
Slack for internal notifications that a new enquiry has arrived.
Google for Google Tag Manager and traffic measurement, which only runs after your consent.
Cloudflare for running and delivering the website.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some of these providers process data outside the European Union. Where they do, we require the safeguards the GDPR expects, in particular the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
Enquiry data is kept while we are discussing the work and afterwards for as long as we may need to defend against claims.
Newsletter contacts are kept until you withdraw your consent.
Applicant data is kept for the length of the hiring process, and longer only with your consent.
Data we have to keep by law, such as details on tax documents, is kept for the period the law sets.
Security
Only people who need the data for their work can reach it, and they are bound by confidentiality. We have technical and organisational measures against unauthorised access, loss or damage, and we have data processing agreements with our processors.
Links to other websites
The website links to pages we do not run, for example LinkedIn or our clients' sites. We are not responsible for how they handle data. Their own policies apply there.
Your rights
Under the conditions set by the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your data and information about how we process it;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- receive your data and move it to another controller;
- object to processing we base on legitimate interest;
- ask us to restrict processing;
- ask us to erase the data;
- withdraw consent where the processing is based on it;
- lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
How to exercise your rights
Write to info@techmates.io or to Techmates International s.r.o., Čechyňská 547/5, 602 00 Brno, Czech Republic. We usually reply within a few working days and within the deadline the GDPR sets at the latest.
You can lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz.
